Letter from Rob

I wanted to share a part of my life journey with you, filled with ups and downs, and amazing blessings.

Hello,

I wanted to share a part of my life journey with you, filled with ups and downs, and amazing blessings. You might already know about my childhood diagnosis of kidney disease, which I’ve bravely carried through the years. Back in 2000, a doctor predicted a future kidney transplant within a decade. Little did I know, God was already orchestrating something incredible. A true friend, John Zeigler, had a stirring in his heart long before he stepped up in 2010 to gift me one of his kidneys – a selfless act that extended the quality of my life for a wonderful eleven years.

Things were smooth sailing until 2021 when the pandemic threw a curveball my way – I battled and conquered Covid. I’m deeply grateful for the dedicated medical staff who kept me alive during those 19 intense days in the ICU. Although, due to Covid, my donated kidney’s function declined and stopped, my spirit stayed strong. Dialysis is a part of my journey now, a new chapter demanding patience and strength.

But here I am, still embracing life and searching for another miracle. This time, I’m looking for someone with a big heart who’s willing to take the leap and get tested to become a living kidney donor for me. You can find all the details and contact info on my website and social media.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading this and considering this incredible journey with me. Your support and kindness mean more than I can express. Let’s keep the spirit of miracles alive together.

With heartfelt optimism,

Rob Pittman
